I am a sports analyst for a radio station in Ghana called Gaskiya Fm transmitting on the frequency 105.5 mhz and on tunein as Gaskiya Fm. Recently, there was a conflict encountered at Gaskiya Fm and I will like to share it and analyse it with the critical thinking tools studied at UoPeople.

A standard radio sports show in Ghana should last for a duration of two hours. 30 minutes dedicated to foreign news, 30 minutes for local news, 40 minutes for analysis of the news and 20 minutes for listeners interaction(via phone calls and text messages). Any radio sports show below two hours fall off professionalism.

I choose the ladder of inference because it is the fastest critical thinking technique for effective decision making. The concept in the ladder of inference is simple and easy for analysing complex issues and addressing the issues efficiently with preventive measures. A sports show below two hours on radio is classified unprofessional. One hour encroachment into the sports time made the sports crew abandon the sports show. The political show should have elapsed in its duration and should not have spilled into the sports time. The host of the political show was also part of the conflict.

Assumptions.
Proper notice could have been given to the sports crew a day before the day there will be a program overlap. Couldn 't a clear notice be sent to the sports crew when the political show was ongoing, because there was an earlier notice which stated that the overlapping will last 30 minutes but the overlapping lasted for one hour. The sports show was estimated from 10:00GMT to 12:00GMT, so what would have happened if the sports crew stayed at post uptill 12:00GMT before walking out.

Conclusion.
The sports crew should not have abandon the sports show though the time for the show was highly encroached. The sports crew could have used their limited time to engage the listeners and do something dynamic. The producers of the political show could have informed the sports crew a day before the show that there will be an overlap of time which will affect the sports show. On day, the first notice sent to the sports crew informing them of a 30 minutes encroachment was good but even that 30 minutes was overlapped meaning that the host of the political show was not been

Bukowski v. Clarkson University In 2012, the case of Bukowski v. Clarkson University made it all the way to the highest New York state court. This case involved the plaintiff, Shawn Bukowski, suing his school on the grounds of negligence by the defendant (Lippman, 2012). Bukowski felt that Clarkson University and their baseball coach had acted negligently and put him in unreasonable risk of harm, because there were conditions on the field that enhanced his risk to sustaining this type of injury (Lippman, 2012).…

Fredrick Douglass initially scorned both political parties of his time, the Democrats and Republicans, for being too pro-slavery and compromising too regularly on issues of slavery. From Lincoln 's early presidency, Douglass criticized Lincoln before the emancipation proclamation, stating "Whoever live through the next four years will see Mr. Lincoln and his Administration attacked more bitterly for their pro-slavery truckling, than for doing any anti-slavery work. " Instead of compromise, Douglass believed that the Republican Party would have to transform from an anti-slavery party into a fully abolitionist institution. Although Fredrick Douglass believed himself to be separate from the Republicans because of their more moderate views, he…

The shooting of Trayvon Martin and following case was far from underreported. Sharpton received sharp criticism for his dual and possibly conflicting roles as an activist and commentator. Many ask how MSNBC can allow him to speak as an activist at a rally for Trayvon Martin asking for donations, accompany Martin’s parents to the Justice Department and then cover himself on television (Media Bias, 2012)?…
