Next school year at Hubbard High School, a lacrosse team should be added for students that want to play it. Lacrosse is both a fun and competitive sport. It would work out great because the students at Hubbard High School are very competitive and would love to try a new sport. Having a new sport team can open up many opportunities, it can give students a new sport to try, and possibly students will make new friends.
According to Jeremi Davidson, publisher of “Rules of Facts for Lacrosse” on LiveStrong.com says that lacrosse was invented more than 500 years ago and was used by the military in training exercises. Today, more than 720,000 people are playing on an organized lacrosse team in the United States. This would be a fun new activity to be involved with at our school.

Although the cost may be too high for our school to support a lacrosse team, there are many ways to raise money, and people are always willing to help with school events and teams. There may be a risk of injury, but the truth is that every sport someone is involved with, there is a risk of injury. Concussions are a big injury in every sport one is involved with, because an athlete is always putting their body on the line. Football is still the leading sport with the most injuries, but is still found in most schools across the United States.
