For as long as I can remember lacrosse has been a huge part of my life. My dad and his cousin helped to start the lacrosse program in Rocky River. He has been coaching for 18 years so in the spring my weekends and sometimes weekdays were filled with travelling to different venues to watch the team play. My brother and sister both play lacrosse. My brother who graduated last year played for four years at the high school and my sister who was a freshman last year on the varsity team. My dad has been playing since high school and ended up playing Division III lacrosse at Ohio Wesleyan. Lacrosse is a way of life in my family.

When we were in Virginia visiting my dad’s friend, we saw a Virginia men’s lacrosse game. Over family vacation when we went to Maryland my sister had a lacrosse tournament a couple miles from where we were staying. All in all everywhere I have gone lacrosse has been there. It is something that brings my family tighter together. At the tournaments that they could my brother and sister were there and we would always talk about the games afterward. In return I went to all my siblings games and enjoyed watching them

One accomplishment that took a great deal of effort was lacrosse. Right from the start of freshman year, I knew that I wanted to become a good lacrosse player, enough to make an impact on the game. I did numerous clinics and leagues for two years straight, I worked as hard as I possibly could to become the player I wanted to be. Throughout my training, there were times where I felt like I was never going to be as good as I longed to be, but my family and my coach motivated me to work through because they felt that the hard work would be worth it. Whenever I was feeling like this, I would always turn to them because they reminded me of how hard I worked and how great I would feel once I felt the reward.…
