The movie involves A teenage girl named Merida who is being set up for an arranged marriage, she ends up going against her parents say and choses her own fate. They find the princes from surrounding areas to fight for her love and She then applies archery to the challenge (being her favorite pass time) though all missed the targets but one. She disguises herself into the challenge she set up to win her own hand and hits bullseyes on all of the target even splitting the one made by the one man who made it. The film was released June 22, 2016 and was produce by the first female Pixar director Brenda Chapman. Notable awards from this movie are Best animation of the year,8th highest Pixar film and a 78% approval rate, and the 13th highest grossing film of 2012. The film does movie falls short however of her prediction of the male heroine. Brave pulls a twist making a man the last thing on her mind, the film goes against the decency of even a male main character. The film is solely empowering through the main character Merida fighting for her own hand in marriage. Another way this film differs is unlike the other movies mentioned in the article Merida is a very active teen, and sly of excellent when handed a bow and arrow this contradicts LaCroix thoughts on the activeness of previous white princess. In some concepts LaCroix opinion are more than true, I can predict that it will take more time for animated films to make their main characters when it pertains to woman in a different stature unrelated to a coke
