The Zika virus is transmitted by mosquitos from person to person and also transmitted sexually. The Zika virus was first isolated in 1947 in the Zika Forest of Uganda. The Virus began to spread from the original founded area to the americas starting in 2007. In the United States, there has been 2,964 cases confirmed of the zika virus. There are also 1,080 confirmed cases of Zika in pregnant women. The virus is growing fast and this is where the people of the United States must become aware of the problem and take precautions. The surrounding areas that have had confirmed cases for the virus are taking many hits to their social and economical effects of their society. This is causing many issues to arise and nothing 's getting solved. The Caribbean Public Health Agency states, “ As travel increases, the number of Zika cases among travelers will likely increase and the potential negative impact on Caribbean tourism.”(Agency.) The effects that the Zika virus is bringing on the world is very deadly and there should be more knowledge than what we have. The lack of knowledge is leaving blanks to people 's questions like “what is supposed to happen to my baby?” or “do I cancel my honeymoon?”. All we have right now is precautions and some symptoms for the travelers but no true hard evidence to what the virus
