I found FT to be a very interesting and easy to understand intervention. I appreciated that the focus group was very specific in that the participants had to have been removed from their abuser for two years, yet still had to test at a certain level to continue on in the study. I also appreciated that it was specific to emotional abuse, because it is often not given as much research as aftercare of physical and sexual abuse. Although it was beneficial to limit the participant qualifications, this also limits the ability for the test results to be generalized to other populations.
