“I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave” (Labyrinth). Labyrinth is a movie about a teenage girl that does not want to babysit her baby brother and wishes him to be gone. When the Goblin King takes him, he gives her thirteen hours to solve a labyrinth and rescue her brother. If she doesn’t save her brother in the thirteen hours he will stay with the Goblin King forever. While she is in the labyrinth she meets friends that help her solve the labyrinth. The Goblin King likes Sarah he only wants to make her happy by completing her wish. The Labyrinth shows how not to be selfish, to appreciate friendship, and the lengths people go for love.

The one friend that helped her out throughout the whole labyrinth is Hoggle. At first he does not act like her friend as he is afraid of what the Goblin King will do to him if he helps her. At the end, Hoggle does help Sara and they become good friends. I liked Hoggle he wasn’t perfect, but he represents many modern day friendships. For example, Hoggle is like the girl in a clique that only has friends that are approved by the leader in the clique. If the girl disobeys the leader, she faces the consequences. The good thing is that true friendship wins at the end. Sara and Hoggle have their good and their bad times. In the movie, Sara says to Hoggle, “You 're horrible!” (Labyrinth). Sara says this to Hoggle because he would lead her on the wrong path to not make the Goblin King think that he was helping Sara, but he would always give up and help her. Hoggle is my second favorite character in the movie because everyone thinks he is bad, but he means
