When players use the Labouchere system, they have to win less than half of their bet in order to successfully reach their pre-planned betting aspiration. However, the strategy does contain downsides. In particular, losing streaks can force players to make extremely large bets should they continue using the system. In order to efficiently use the system, players need to set a betting goal. They need to set a goal for the amount of money they would like to win. Doing so simplifies deciding the unit value they want to use.
