The popularity of labiaplasty has grown significantly in the past few years. There were over 5000 labiaplasty procedures performed in 2013. While not nearly as popular as breast enhancements or face lifts, labiaplasty is the second fastest growing surgery in the U.S. And every woman has her own reasons for considering the procedure.

Here are four of the most common reasons why women have a labiaplasty:

1. Oversized Labia

The outer labia can be oversized for a woman's frame. It may protrude to the front or back. This can cause a woman to be self-conscious when wearing certain clothing, or when appearing naked in front of an intimate partner.

The inner labia can also be oversized. Quite often, the inner labia will hang down below the outer
