The Italian culture is one of the most historical and elegant cultures arguably in the world. It is for this reason I take pride in learning about the values of my ancestors and even of my parents. Similar to what we explored in Beppe Severgnini’s La Bella Figura, there is a defining line that proves your Italian simply by the way situations are handled. This comical yet very true narrative explains how certain environments in Italy are very different from what we expect. Having been fortunate to experience Italy’s beauty, reading more into the Italian culture has allowed me to view the country entirely different from what I experienced. This course has provided me a lot of information, but if there is one thing that has remained prevalent throughout my studies of the Italian culture, it would be the evolution of Italian culture. When I think of Italian culture, I tend to look at it in from the eyes of my grandparents, who shared with me countless stories of their past.
