I want to be molded into the best social worker that I can be and I feel as though being granted the opportunity to get an education from Barry will help me reach my ultimate goal. Additionally, based on alumni testimonials I have read and research I have done related to Barry alumni, this program provided graduates with a solid background in the social work field and has contributed to several individuals receiving great job opportunities upon completion of the program. Many alumni have received prestigious social worker awards and have accredited their education that they received from Barry as a contributing factor in the success of their careers. I have explored many social work programs however, Barry’s mission statement, curriculum, small class-sizes and emphasis on field education is everything that I am looking for in a graduate program in order to prepare for my future of helping others. I am passionate about the field of social work and I am willing to put in all the time and effort that it takes to be successful in this program. To me being resilient not only means successfully overcoming an obstacle, but it also means working even harder than you did before the set back. The profession of a social worker is very rewarding, however I recognize the challenges that it entails.
