When there is an all LGBT school, the system they are put on makes them comfortable and relaxed. So when they graduate and get out of school, they have this relaxed mentality and they somewhat feel invincible. Then when they get bullied in the ally or on the streets, they want to commit suicide or hurt themselves because the systems had held kept them safe from the world. A young high school girl by the name of Phoebe Prince, hung herself after six of her classmates bullied her. Also according to Preventing Bullying article, “[A] Rutgers freshman Tyler Clementi jumped to his death after two classmates allegedly used a webcam to secretly watch him during a gay dorm-room encounter[.]” Not to be funny but this world does not love anybody, nor does it care about your feelings. It is a dog eat dog world and the LGBT community has to learn to accept that. Now yes, I do know that you cannot be completely insensitive but there is a line that needs to be drawn. Another example from my life is when I was in the army; I used to get called faggot and gay boy and other slurs. Now the first two weeks or so, I came to the conclusion, they only say something because they do not have anything else to talk about. My grandmother and I also had a very good conversation about what was going on with me. She asked me what’s wrong and I told her, I have been called everything but a child of God. She then gave me the greatest advice of all time. She said “When you are talked about, you are though about.” Those words have stuck with me, and I love it. My advice to the LGBT community is deal with your issues head on and we have to push
