LGBT discrimination in schools is very important in today’s society. Many parents send their child (children) to school for a learning education, not to be mistreated and abused. Some people may argue that discrimination is not only in the classrooms but within the sports at school. Some may even argue that it’s not right for the opposite sex to participate in activities. I feel as though as long as they’re treated fairly, I don’t see where the problem lies. Some of those effects are: Dropouts suicide, physical abuse, among other things. Physical abuse plays a major part in youth lives …show more content…
Being treated differently is one of the worst things that can happen to a person. I’m sure the people of the LGBT families overseas and the LGBT families in the US only wants to love and be loved. The LGBT has done a number of things for the community and yet the LGBT community is suffering from violence, discrimination, and hatred. It’s ironic that the world only sees gender, but can’t see the love that is being spread across the country. I can’t begin to imagine the heartaches and headaches that the people of the LGBT are facing in other cities across the US, because of who they chose to love. We have fought for marriage equality, now we have to fight for the discrimination and the violence of the LGBT community to stop. We all should be asking, how we can become part of the solution instead of being a part of the problem. Let the community live, love, and laugh with who they chose. Stop the Violence and Discrimination against the LGBT in US schools and Overseas. We all just want to be treated fairly and equally. Let those who want to love. The world would be a much better place if we could all get along and treat people with dignity and respect. No has the right to be mistreated or abused. How can we fix it, spread the word, and stop the violence that’s occurring in the youths of the LGBT in US

People are made fun of on a daily basis for being themselves. People in the L.G.B.T. community are especially made fun of, laughed at and treated like lesser people, just for being themselves. People think that just because you learned something as a part of their religion, that it is the complete truth. People say that just because someone found true love in someone that happens to be the same sexuality as them, that they are not like other people and will not be able to enjoy life like it was meant to. Homophobia is destroying this country because when people are feared/against homosexuality, they are not only insulting that one person, they are insulting an entire lifestyle.…

And no sole sub-group within the community is discriminated against more so than another—no matter age, class, or race, if a person identifies as LGBT, they’re attacked on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity, specifically, for no better reason than that they’re different from those doing the bullying.
