Being gay or lesbian isn’t the only thing that matters when it comes down to caring for children. They are not stealing the kids, but rather trying to provide loving homes. Being in foster care can also take a toll on education. In New York City 3,026 people that were in foster care were asked about their education. Forty percent said that they did not start school immediately when entering foster care. Of the people surveyed, seventy five percent said that they did not stay in their school (Chipungu, Sandra Stukes, and Tricia B.

But further than this homosexuals have a good reason that if they were legal then the number of children who got adopted every year would go up. (3) Since homosexuals obviously can’t have their own kids they have to have a backup plan, and the easiest way for them would be to adopt. Even though many places won’t let you adopt unless you have a mother and a father, if gays were legal, they would likely be forced to change this rule also which would start up a whole new argument. But anyways if homosexuals were allowed to adopt the children who are without homes that would help get the kids a home, no matter how solid that home is. This is important to get all kids home even though the kids will still have parents of the same sex.…

Adoption by non-heterosexual couples has been a big topic to discuss for the last decade because some critics in this society are against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT) being able to adopt because they are different than “everyone” else and they do not meet the criteria that today’s society is used to. Adoption should be based on how good the potential parents would take care of the child, instead of the potential parents' sexual orientation, because a loving environment is best for the child, those that are other than heterosexual should have equal opportunity to adopt a foster child, everybody deserves the chance to become a parent, and nobody should be denied that right. The biggest challenge LGBT parents face is…

Another is the emotional stability of a child in a homosexual family can be ruined by the prejudice they may or may not face because of who the parents are.
