LED Lights And Fiber Optic Trees

Great Essays
Register to read the introduction… LED lights and fiber optic trees are two energy-efficient technologies that can reduce your energy costs, particularly when the lights are used for long periods of time, such as in commercial applications.
LED Lights
Light Emitting Diode (LED) holiday lights are a new application for a mature technology. Each year since 2002, manufacturers have improved the choices, producing bigger and brighter bulbs and new color options. LED lights have a number of benefits over conventional lighting:
• Energy-efficient – 0.08 watts per LED C7 multicolor bulb
(compared with 0.48 watts for an incandescent mini-light and 6.0 watts for a standard incandescent C7 bulb).
• Long life span – up to 100,000 hours or more used indoors, half that outdoors, and some manufacturers provide a limited lifetime warranty.
• Safety – no chance of combustion since the bulbs are cool to the touch, regardless of how long they are left on.
• Sturdy bulbs – the epoxy lenses are virtually indestructible.

Light is transmitted from the single bulb through hundreds of very small fibers and emitted along each branch of the tree. Some trees come equipped with a rotating color wheel that changes the color emitted from the fibers.

Infrared light is mainly used as a way to heat up food, or as a shorter wavelength to control household items, such as televisions and DVD players. Fluorescent light is created by an electric current running through types of stable gas, which in turn produces short wave ultraviolet light, or fluorescent light. LED lights are a more focused way of producing light, instead…

As you may know, many of the students at Bloomsburg University commute and one area where students are permitted to park is the Geisinger Hospital parking lot area. Many students have complained about the lack of lightning. Being a solar street light construction company we would like to propose to have additional lights installed within the lots and the areas going down to the parking lot. We also propose installing lighting in the blue parking lot on upper campus. This lot is used by students that keep their car at the university while staying in campus dormitories.…

I, personally, like to sleep; in order to sleep, I need a quiet, dark place. Natural darkness has been in the line of fire for a while, suggests Paul Bogard, and in his article “Let There Be Dark,” he wields imagery and rhetorical appeals as weapons to build his argument that natural darkness should be preserved. Bogard immediately pulls the reader in with powerful imagery describing a wholesome anecdote about spending time at his family’s lake cabin. He conjures up an image of the Minnesota “night skies” with “sugary spreads of stars” behind “smoky trails” left from meteors, which gives the reader a clear view of the setting of the scene. Later, when discussing nature’s need for natural darkness, Bogard states, “ecological light pollution is like the bulldozer of the night, wrecking habitat and disrupting ecosystems,” creating a disturbing image that moves the reader.…

Surprisingly the actinic bulbs provide different coloration under the blue light than under the white light (Hayes 24), because the color you see of the fish is greatly impacted by the light used in the aquarium. “Warm” lights enhance the color of red and yellow fish, whereas the “cooler” lights give the fish a much more pale appearance (Hayes 22). The choice between the two main types of lighting and the wattage of the bulb used should be dependent on the size of the tank, and the types of coral they include. For example, fluorescent is really only suitable for tanks up to eighteen inches deep, and metal-halide is essential for deeper reef aquariums.…

Compared to traditional incandescent, energy-efficient lightbulbs such as halogen incandescent, and light emitting diodes have advantages. Considering if using about 25%-80% less energy than traditional incandescent, saves you money. Traditional incandescent bulbs use a lot of energy to produce light. 90% of the energy is given off as heat, and that loss of energy is money that is being thrown away. Newer energy-saving lightbulbs provide choices in colors and light levels you can expect.…

its color led to the formulation of this experiment. The experiment utilizes chloroplasts of spinach leaves to test the different color lights’ effects on photosynthesis. Green light is said to be the least effective at driving photosynthesis on the electromagnetic spectrum due to being mostly reflected and transmitted instead of being absorbed. Conversely, red light and white light is more effective at driving photosynthesis (Reece, 2011). Thus, a hypothesis was created stating that the rate of photosynthesis will be greater with a red light bulb compared to a green or white fluorescent light bulb.…

Another consideration is if the fades of the LED light source affects the life of the light source directly or not. The SUNPER lighting’s LED high bays usually have a warranty of six years. The other one is that the emission of the LED chip mainly depends on the size of the water thereby affects the quality of lighting. Generally, the larger the wafer side, the better the quality and hence the current production of the best areas of the wafer is Japan and United States. This makes the price to be…
