There are very many benefits to the use of LARC. It is a very reliable form of contraception, not requiring any other action. No one can tell that you are using birth control. It does not interfere with daily activities. Almost all women are able to use an IUD or hormonal implant. The hormonal IUD can decrease menstrual pain and heavy menstrual bleeding. Copper IUD can be effective for 10-12 years.
There are very few risks to the use of LARC. The IUD may be expelled from the uterus, this happens in about 5% of users in the first year of use. The IUD can pierce through the uterus ring insertion. However, this is very rare. There can be irregular menstrual bleeding associated with all forms of LARC; however, this is very short-term. This usually
