“L-Leticia!” I nervously stuttered.
This was the day. The day that determines everything. My heart quivers at the thought of what she would say. We don’t even talk anymore, yet here I am begging for the right answer that’ll make everything better. I finally have the guts to actually ask this one simple question that should never have to be asked. She turns around quickly cutting the wind like a blade slicing through human flesh.
“Yes?” she questioned.
I responded in a calm tone trying to reassure myself, “Well it seems like we don’t talk anymore. Are we still best friends?”
She gives me a blank look before answering back in an icy voice matching the below zero weather, “Of course.” After that, she turns back making her way towards the
