Because of the rarity of Bladder Exstrophy, children with this anomaly often feel alone and different from everyone else. For the past seventeen years, Kylee’s family has planned and carried out a weekend campout each summer for families with a Bladder Exstrophy member. The camp out has been successful and grown each year, with participants coming from California, several states, and even several countries around the world. Besides the planned recreational activities, they offer educational sessions addressing topics common among the youth. Every member of the Hunter family helps with the camp out.
