Introduction How can we consider one as a successful construction? Actually, the design of the construction should be fulfill the engineering and landscape perspective with consideration of the desirable function. That means a successful design can make a harmonic landscape with satisfaction of engineering requirement and facilitation to surroundings people. A better design is also consistent with historical, cultural and social factors. The Kwun Tong Promenade is a good example for investigation because its design suitably encloses the consideration of landscape, engineering with concern of social and historical factors. Although the Kwun Tong Promenade was finished stage 1 only, it gives a positive impact towards the society by greening the area, beautifying the landscape and attracting people come to there. At the part below, it not only make a positive and negative assessment towards the Promenade but also give effective suggestion in different field in pursuit of becoming a second to none Promenade design among Hong Kong.

183 Hoi Bun Road, Kwun Tong. The stage 1 comprises 200m promenades in which is in front of Kwun Tong Typhoon Shelter and Kai Tak Cruise Terminal and also behind the center town of Kwun Tong and commercial building. At this location, the Promenade contains beautiful sea view and typical urban view in the two-side respectively. This location leads the promenades act as a coherent role between inflexible urban view and beautiful marine landscape. Hence, constructing Promenades at there can lead the whole system become more harmony and it is a place for citizens enjoy the natural and marine landscape in an urban
