Bonhoeffer (1995) stated that mankind at its origin is with God because God is the origin. When man moves away from his origin, he is in essence moving away from God. Being committed to ethical leadership means that the manner in which I conduct myself at work must reflect the same Christian beliefs that guide my relationships and choices in my private life. Practically speaking, I cannot profess to follow Christ and then avoid demonstrating this in the way I deal with people and problems in the workplace. The pursuit of wholeness demands that that my profession of faith is reflected in a consistent approach to people and processes in all areas of my life. Ethical considerations must also be applied to my future role as a researcher. Adams & Lawrence (2014) stated that “conducting an ethical research is more than simply doing the right thing and avoiding doing wrong thing” (p. 2). As an ethical researcher, I must consider ethics at every stage of the research process.
