Kunkel and Dennis have created a framework for eulogies with seven elements that are commonly found in most eulogies. There are is no guarantee that all seven or any of the seven are in anyone eulogy and there is no order that these elements are supposed to be in. One of the seven elements often found in eulogies is establishing credibility, or simply stating how the eulogizer knows the deceased or knows of the deceased. Often times there is praise given to person who has died for all the great things he or she accomplished in his or her life. When giving the praise, the person speaking may often be speaking directly to deceased.
