Personal Essay On Career Interest

After my completion of my interests and aptitudes self-assessment, I understood that I am interested in the curricular subjects of Biology and Algebra, feel engaged during classroom discussions and lab activities, and do the best in the subjects of Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Biology, and Chemistry. Yet, outside of school, I enjoy skill drills while playing soccer and performing volunteer service at various locations, especially at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Not only that, I tend to do a good job at completing responsibilities, both inside and outside of school, persevering in tough situations, solving difficult problems, and quickly learning new concepts. However, I feel most gratified whenever I fulfill difficult goals I have been set, whether by myself or others. Three career interest areas that seemed to match my personality characteristics are the realistic career area, due to my practicality and honesty; the investigative career area, due to my curiosity and preciseness; and the artistic career area, due to my expressive and independent nature. When I asked close family members as to what area they believed I should pursue, they characterized me as being investigative and realistic as well as being social, due to my friendliness and trustworthiness. After developing a good sense of my career areas, three careers which I chose to further research were the careers of doctor, postsecondary teacher, and mathematician.
