Kuga In The Moon Festival

Kuga is pretty fun in this chapter.

Despite his rough manners and speech, he is a typical rich boy through and through. Travelling around the world isn't for those with poor wallet.

Then again, China and Japan is only about three hour airflight. A round trip flight should cost somewhere around 500 U.S. dollars. Not to mention that China is pretty cheap in living expense. Beijing, the more expensive of its city, shouldn't take more than 4o dollars a day.

Still, judging from the tone of the conversation, I think we were suppose to assume that Kuga is from an affluent family. And his food trip in China probably have all those gourmet ingredients that would make your wallet cry.

As for his plan, its simple enough in theory.

... Man. Soma and Kuga really are the same. This over-optimistic plan sounds a lot like the plan Soma made against Kuga in the moon festival. I'm already seeing the pitfall.

For one, Hayama is introduced as an "interim" ninth seat, we don't know if Hayama was given the seat or it is temporary - pending on Hayama completing some nebulous goal. Two, Hayama would need to agree to the shokugeki. Though, Soma and Hayama's agreement might just be the easiest part of the plan. Hayama and Soma has a rivalry. Its easy to imagine Soma provoking him into a shokugeki than Kuga would. And of course, Soma would be okay wagering the seat against Kuga. Finally, even if this miraculously work out, I expect that the other E10 and Azami would just kick Kuga back out of the E10.

Though, playing devil's advocate for the other

Over the past two centuries, Europe’s grasp on the world has strengthened and tightened increasingly, the “Western” influence becoming one that is looming and inevitable. Europe’s pre-eminence emerged almost accidentally, the product of an incidental group of conditions in the world economic system that Europe and America were able to properly exploit. This western influence that they exhibited was one that gleamed of new technologies and modernization, expecting the eastern world to quickly adopt their version of idealistic treasures. In the 19th century, after an extended age of separation, China, Japan and Korea were burdened from the West to open to foreign trade and relations. Because of the Industrial Revolution in Europe and the United…

Analyse how The Great Gatsby and Browning’s poetry imaginatively portray individuals who challenge the established values of their time. The Great Gatsby through narrative text style, and Barrett Browning’s poetry through Petrarchan sonnet form, both portray individuals who not only challenge accepted values of their time but may also adhere to certain values. Despite the immensely dissimilar contexts the texts are derived from, we are able to compare challenged or accepted values within them as the share particular themes such as love and gender roles. Samuel L. Jackson once said, “We’ve come a long way in our thinking, but also in our moral decay.” This quote holds true today as society stays rapidly changing and people become more and more desensitized to the horrors of the world. The line between right and wrong fades and turns to a larger gray area, and many things that happen in society today make us question how we, as a collective people, ended up where we are and how we acquired the customs we have today. Aldous Huxley, in his novel Brave New World, uses a great deal of satire and exaggeration to express his concerns for the society he was born into and bring attention to the problems of moral decay, drug dependency, and brainwashing, among other things, in the world.…

The rightness or wrongness of an action is tested by whether it falls under a certain rule, meaning that if keeping promises is a rule, the man needs to keep the promise he made to the explorer who sacrificed himself. This is not a situation in which the action does not fall under a rule or falls under two rules, which makes the course of action clear. In addition, by the hypothetical universalization principle, if everyone broke promises that no one knew about, the result would be bad. Although the breaking of this promise would notn’t affect the future keeping or breaking of promises, the breaking of promises that would occur if everyone broke promises would result in a greatly weakened institution of promises.…
