This was a very bad situation considering that the whole reconstruction of the united states was based on trying to give african americans full citizenship. While many of the people in the northern states were working to help african americans the Ku Klux Klan was working against them. They would kill the people who helped african americans even if they were white. For these reasons the Ku Klux Klan should not be protected by the first amendment.
Others may suggest that the Ku Klux Klan should be protected by the first amendment. Others may also argue that this is e united states and that they should have the rights to express their beliefs, but to what extent does this go to far. The same as how Mr. Guliani views the KKK as "Disgusting horrible organization that represents the very worst of american" many people who are against the organization being protected by the first amendment feel the same way. These people including myself believe this for many reasons such as how they slowed the reconstruction process of the united states greatly and killed many african americans. These reasons cause a large impact and should make it much easier decision that the Ku Klux Klan should not be protected by the first
