In 1833, The Kroger Company was founded by Barney Kroger in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is one of the world’s largest retailers and it operates more than 2,600 stores in 34 states under two dozen banners and 786 convenience stores under 6 banners and 326 jewelry stores under Littman Jewelers and Fred Meyer Jewelers.
Today, The Kroger Company operates several store formats for almost every kind of shopper such as, Supermarkets, Multi-department stores, Price-Impact warehouse stores, and Marketplace stores.
