He was a dad driving in a car who just happened to sing really well. That was the case for Kris Jones until his 15-year-old daughter, Dayla, turned him into an instant singing star when she recorded him singing George Jones hit, “Tennessee Whiskey.”

As previously reported by Independent Journal Review, Kris's wife, Destinie, shared the video on YouTube and viewers went wild over his sound, quickly launching him into the internet spotlight. The video has pulled in over 35 million views and caught the attention of a producer for "The Ellen Show."

Jones and his family got an invite to be on the show, where the singer let loose once again with his strong vocals by singing “Tennessee Whiskey,” during his first television performance. He also spent some time discussing his love for singing with Ellen.
