The great supplement that you have never heard about: Krill oil
Krill oil comes from Krill, tiny shrimp like creatures that come from the Atlantic or Pacific oceans.
Krill oil confers some dietary eicosapentanoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) (Omega-3 contents), the two fatty acids that are the active components of fish oil, both have the similar content of DHA but krill oil tends to have higher EPA content and Krill oil might be absorbed in the body better than fish oil.
Major benefits of Krill oil:
• Neuroprotective: strong anti-oxidant properties.
• Krill oil is linked to an improvement in memory and learning due to the Astaxanthin content which plays a role as anxiolytic and cognitive enhancing properties.
• Pre-menstrual syndrome
