It is among the best Kovalam tourist places that draws numerous visitors each year from different parts of the globe.
• Lighthouse is the largest of the three beaches and located atop the rocky hillock called Karumkal hill. The 35-meter-tall Lighthouse gives the beach its name of “Lighthouse beach”. There is a German bakery here where you can relish some pancakes with some juices and shakes.
• Hawah beach: Hawah which translates to wind became famous mainly due to the foreign women who were seen strolling or swimming topless on the beach. Rush of tourists continues although the topless swimming is now banned in the place.

The river has two dams constructed over it and is a primary river in Trivandrum. The river is one of the recommended places to visit in Kovalam, Kerala. There is a boat club at the bank of the river from where you can enjoy canoe rides, cruises across the river or go kayaking.

5. Valiyathur Pier:
