The Komodo dragon is the biggest lizard in the world. It is the typical animal of Komodo Island in Indonesia.
Komodo dragons are carnivores. They eat almost all animals. They are able to hide well because their scaly skin resembles the color of clay. They have very good sense of smell. Once they have identified its prey, they will attack with their claws and teeth. Their bite is very dangerous because it contains lethal bacteria that was very poisonous. After bitten, the prey will die in 30 minutes. That’s why they will follow their prey after they bit it.
