As we all know there are a lot of department clothing stores around the United States that do very well for themselves. Kohl’s being one of them is a department store chain that sells a good amount of different items including women’s clothing, men clothing, Kids clothing, accessories, home décor and may other things that continue bringing in the public and continue to make business overall. Kohl’s is one of those department stores that tend to bring in consumers that are in the middle-class by providing them with discounted brands and different label clothing as well as a lot of home good items. Kohl’s is also put into the same category as other retail stores that are put as their competitors which will be stores like Macy’s, J.C Penny, …show more content…
Kohl’s has been working with very well-known clothing companies and have continued to increase their exclusive brands which a few to name would include, Dana Buchman, Mudd, Sonoma, Apt.9, Nike just a few to name but are a good amount more that make Kohl’s as successful as they are. One thing about department stores is that these stores are always trying to put themselves out there by trying to be different than the competition and attempt to have some sort of higher margins when dealing with their overall profits by having in their store these well-known popular name brands as well as private label brands. Kohl’s itself have exclusive brands which are basically marketed under the wholesalers name and isn’t sold in every retail chain out there but most likely be only sold in one chain and stores that kohl’s as partnered up with when dealing with these exclusive brands will include brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Chaps, Elle and many other more as well as working with private labels which are manufactured by their wholesalers but end up being sold under a different brand name of the retailer. There are many exclusive brands at Kohl’s stores and those include brands such as Simply Vera which as we all know the name came after a very famous fashion designer herself Vera …show more content…
By having an E-commerce in the stores it has brought a massive number of internet sales within the past few years. By bringing E-Commerce there has an increase based on their online sales and as also increased different opportunities when dealing with the overall online market. Kohl’s main focus besides the sales is to continue to have a great relationship with their consumers and continue to stay true to their values regardless the changes that are being done etc. customers are always first. Kohl’s has had renovations occur based on how they see the stores are running and what not. For example, Kohl’s has seen how busy they can get and the traffic that can be inside the store and due to their renovations and by decreasing the store traffic it’s more of a faster smoother ride for their consumers to buy the stuff they want and be able to leave the store without waiting in long lines etc. Comparing Kohl’s to their competitors, Kohl’s is definitely taking action one of them of course being the E-Commerce which will end up focusing on that big number of people who prefer shopping online. Another smart move that Kohl’s as due to renovations is focused on ways to expand the store
