Kodak Crooked Plates

Decent Essays
As of today, I still get complaints about crooked plates from the production.
We are fighting this issue for over a month now.
We had many people from Kodak on site (including product specialist), and any time we think the issue may be resolved it comes back.
As a result we have large production delays and many wasted plates.
Is there any permanent solution that Kodak can come up with?
Considering our production volume we can not continue like this.
Please advise.

Where possible, we give the supplier an opportunity to resolve the matter directly with the customer. Each complaint is assessed individually, but the following points outline our general approach to complaint-handling: • If customers haven’t contacted their supplier about the problem, we will put them in touch with the company • Where appropriate we may refer their complaint to the company’s specialist dispute resolution team • If customer’s complaint is made on-line, by email or by letter and the nature of the complaint is clear, where appropriate we may refer it to specialist dispute resolution team at their supplier and ask them to contact them to see if they can resolve the matter with customers directly…

The main problem in this case is involving Vermont Teddy Bear which was John Sortino in 1981 is that the companies point of sale system was severely lagging behind. In 2011, The company struggled with major surges in customer periods for example Valentine's day and Christmas Eve this occurred because of VTB's intricate middleware system. The issue may have happened because instead of revamping it's system during down periods the company attempted to do patch work jobs overtime. This is quite alarming because a major retailer would not have these types of issues with the system when they need it most. Which leads to the next point of the IT supervisor being faced with a dilemma on what to improve prior to the next surge period(Mother's day week).…

To do this, a system must be designed that can read the license plate by taking a picture of the car [1]. Automatic licence plate recognition aims to identify the license plate in a digital natural image in order to read the number and convert it into equivalent ASCII code. One of the most important parameters affecting the number plate recognition is the existence of standards for plate design [1, 2]. Usually a wide variety of global standards is used, but this diversity is disregarded at the country level [3].…
