Kobe 11 Marketing Strategy

Improved Essays
Consumers will be able to buy the Kobe 11s in major sneaker retail stores like Footlocker, Champs and Sport Chek. These franchises are known to be major distributors of performance sneakers and consumers looking for a new athletic shoe will definitely check out these stores. These retailers are popular for their specific target of athletic wear and the line of clothing and footwear at these stores fit perfectly with the Kobe 11s. The specific channel of distribution of retailers is fitting for the Kobe 11 because consumers can physically try on the shoe and gauge it’s performance in person. It is easier and will yield more sales if a product like a shoe is sold to someone in person because the product is physically available for the consumer to see and feel.

Price

The price of the Kobe 11 sneaker will range from $215 to $270 depending on the model. High-tops and elite models will cost more due to the increased usage of materials and the presence of more performance features. Although there are different models, every single Kobe 11 shoe will still be guaranteed to be functionable, lightweight, innovative and performance improving. This price is similar to other high-performance sneakers like Lebrons and KDs and it will not scare away consumers due to price.

I want consumers to realize the potential of the Kobe 11 and that it is more than just a simple shoe. Possible consumers after viewing a Kobe 11 ad will be inspired to buy the shoe and will be given the long lasting image that the Kobe 11 is built to maximize an athlete's potential on the court. They will gain knowledge of the essential features of the Kobe 11, be motivated to buy the sneaker and try it out for

I believe that Jordans primarily thrive off of media hype toward the brand. The company, for years, has been able to charge ridiculous prices because they limit the inventory. Limiting the availability of an average shoe manipulates the consumer to this twisted idea that Jordan brand is distinguished amongst the horde of sneaker companies. The brand recognition around the greatest player to every play is an enormous selling point as well. Phil Knight, the co-owner of Nike, was a genius to sell the world on this idea that inside each sneaker box is not only the shoes but the chance to “be like Mike.”…
