Knowledg Knowledge: What Are The Different Ways People Think Differently?

Improved Essays
From attending a high school with over 4,000 students to attending a university with tens of thousand of students, and I’ve learned that there is always something new that you can learn from people. Everyone thinks differently, and everyone has something to offer to one another. People always say think outside the box, not to be narrow-minded, but to be able to imagine what’s outside the box you need the ability to think differently. And the only way to think differently is to be exposed to the different ways that people perceive the world. A commitment to diversity means always to strive to view the world in numerous ways, to never assume something because you can't think differently, and to always try to expose yourself to all the different people that surround us.

Michaels begins his introduction by discussing The Great Gatsby. In which, a penniless man, Jimmy Gatz, transforms into a rich man that is an epitome of the American values of the 1920’s but is still unable to win…

As I was growing up, my father was in the military and this meant that we were constantly moving. I moved a total of seven times; five different states that were each hundreds to even thousands of miles apart and two different countries. I travel around the world and lived the sorrowful Manifest Destiny of “sea to shining sea”.
