Knee Protests Research Paper

A revolutionary event began trending throughout the beginning of our NFL football season that really stomps on our presidents foot. Players have started taking a knee during our national anthem. Trump says this act is “unpatriotic” and “disrespectful”. More people have begun joining Colin Kaepernick in taking a knee. He started taking a knee September of 2016, but it was not noticed right away. When asked for his reasoning behind taking a knee Kaepernick says, “I am not going to stand up and show pride in a flag for a country who oppresses black people, and people of color”. Police brutality has become such an issue in our everyday lives around America that Kaepernick felt he should do something, and took it upon himself to start the take a knee protest. Mr Trump wishes someone would get fired or at least be benched a game for making a move as bold as this one. Lebanon has been protesting and rallying with signs saying #YOUSTINK. Lebanese riot police and the public clashed and fought for two days. The protesters were sprayed with water and tear gas was poured on them to try and stop these “unlawful” acts. They gathered and continued to protest on how unfairly they were treated by their government despite the police influence. The Lebanon government has gotten so tired of these protests they have taken it as far to ban protesting all together. The government was finally pushed to the edge about having no more protests when Syrian refugees called for better refugee conditions.
