On Wednesday May 31st, 2017 unspecified number of Kmart stores which are owned by Sears Holding Corp became prey of malware attack. Their point-of -sale system had been infected by malware and their customer’s payment card data got exposed to hackers.

The malware copies account data stored on the card’s magnetic stripe. Hackers can clone the card and use them to buy high priced goods.
