This anime is set in the futuristic, fictional Japanese town of Sugomori City. While normal in appearance, the city was built for a place to experiment. This is where our “semi-emotionless” protagonist Katsuhira Agata, the imbecile, lives. The main characters represent a twist on the seven deadly sins. Instead of the Christian seven deadly sins, Noriko Sonozaki, the leader of the experiment, believes Japan has their own. The “imbecile,” whom I’ve introduced. The “goody-two shoes,” Chidori Takashiro. Hajime Tenga, the “meathead.” The “eccentric” Nico Niyama. Lastly we have: Tsuguhito Yuta, “the cunning normal,” Honoka Maki, “the high-and-mighty” and Yoshiharu Hisomu, “the immoral.” Each character is unique in their own right and makes for a diverse yet enjoyable bunch of high schoolers. …show more content…
Scenes packed with vibrant lights, lively character styles and variegated backgrounds, it is truly a evocative spectacle. Its art style is something to be remembered. Whether it’s lights going off, or the characters themselves, it is one vivid piece that’s for sure. The distinctiveness each character possesses not only extends to their personality but the art style as well. From colorful, in both personality and design, Tenga to the more grayed out Hisomu, Kiznaiver doesn’t cease in variation. Through all its vibrant display, the color seems to contrast simultaneously.
