Kinship In Saving Private Ryan

There are at least 7 themes within not only pieces of literature but within movies and plays as well. The quest of kinship was an evident theme throughout the movie Saving Private Ryan. Kinship is the sharing of characteristics or origins. Meaning there is a bond with other people. Therefore, by saying there was a quest of kinship that simply means there was a need or want to acquire kinship among the men. Throughout the movie Private Ryan is on a quest to acquire kinship among troops. Finally, Private Ryan demonstrates the sense of kinship by claiming “why do I deserve to leave when fought as hard as me.” Private Ryan has grown with his troops through combat, so he has created emotional ties with them.
