They desperately needed to make changes but the transformation of the product was too sudden. They lost all of their old customers that his father probably worked hard to get. I think that they could keep producing some of the old shoes just to keep the old customers satisfied. Also the little village of Northampton is not a very good place to start a production of drag queen shoes. People living there are narrow minded and not too many of the Northampton residents would even walk into a store that sales high heal shoes for men. Unfortunately at first employees shared the same mind set as the customers they were shocked by Charlie’s new idea. They didn’t see a purpose in producing drag queen shoes and they didn’t believe that it could be a success. Everybody in the company must be “on the same page” and work hard towards the same goal unfortunately not all of Charlie’s employees shared his views. In addition, Northampton didn’t have the right target market so the company would have to send all of their products to London or other places in the world where the potential customers
