As a member of the Kingsport Lifesaving Crew, I have very interesting experiences in the medical field. The Lifesaving crew specializes in heavy rescue and run emergency call in Sullivan county. The worst car wreck happened on Friday the thirteenth. A driver was under the influence running from the law when he collided with a SUV at over a hundred miles per hour that sent both cars off the embankment. The occupants in the SUV had to be extricated out of their car. The passenger of the SUV was in critical condition and when we finally removed her from her car I could see a part of her ribs were caved in. On the way back to the station I couldn’t help but think how I would have loved to seen the results of her x-rays.
