Kings Of Summer Psychology

I have chosen the movie The Kings of Summer. It is because I can relate to the movie in many ways. It is the feeling when the kids just want to just walk out on there parents and control their own lives. They all get tired of there parents managing there lives. I know some days I can relate to that. Eventually you always know that your parents are always there for you and want you to succeed in life. One character who I followed throughout the whole movie was Joe Toy. He is on his way to becoming an adult. He is in Ericksons Adolescence stage. It is because the way Joe struggles to find a constant relationship with his caregivers. He later finds himself very upset with the way his Father treats him. Joe gets very tired of his dad managing his life. During one night the family was all playing a game with each other and it ends with Joe calling the cops on his Father for wrong reasons. Joe finally does what he has wanted this whole time and that was to get his freedom. Joe gathers up his two best friends and travels into the woods where they plan to build a home. They plan on living here free from responsibilities and no parents. As soon as they get done building their home, the three of them realize they can make their own future. Joe lets his friends know that he will be the hunter. He takes full responsibilities for the food and gatherings. After many weeks pass Joe and his buddies are reported missing and on multiple news casts. Things start to get heated in their humble abode between Joe and Patrick. Joe invites his crush Kelly to come see the house they built. But after a while Kelly begins to like …show more content…

It’s Saturday morning, we sat with our legs crossed right in front of the television as our mothers begged for us to move back to prevent eye damage. Once you heard the drumroll intro, catchy tune and classic whistle we knew it was time for a brand new episode of the Rugrats. Growing up many cartoon characters were noticeably different from their fellow friends on the show. As kids we figured they were just different or crybabies such as the red-headed freckle faced Chuckie Finster from the Rugrats. However, looking at the series now Chuckie is more than just a crybaby he can be suffering from anxiety disorder.…

The five indices of age are chronological, biological, functional, psychological, and social. Norman and Ethel exemplify, in their own ways, all five indices starting with age. Ethel, being in her late 60s in the movie would put her in the young-old division of old age, while Norman who turned 80 would be part of the old-old division of old age. Ethel seems to be, by all parameters, biologically healthy without any noticeable heart or physiological problems. Norman, on the other hand, has some heart conditions, which becomes evident when Charlie brings over his heart medication in the mail and he says that he has palpitations.…
