The film kingdom of heaven is the type of movie that I have enjoyed to watch because it has a particular genre of movies that I appreciate the most which is about war and heroic acts. The film tackles about the journey of a widower blacksmith who’s name was Balian de Ibelin along with his grief upon her wife who committed suicide because of the death of their child. Then a crusader who tend to pass by around the village where Balian lives appears to be his father who is named Baron Godfrey of Ibelin. When Baron Godfrey introduced himself to Balian was not easy he tend to have hesitations about revealing his true identity. And after it Baron Godfrey has a request for Balian to return with him to the holy land but Balian refuses to come, a town priest who’s a half-brother of Balian reveals that he ordered to cut off the head of his wife upon burial. Because it is a sin to take your own life, then upon the rage of Balian he killed his half-brother and ran away from the village. On his way Balian tend to reach his father, on the way to the holy land and joins him to the journey. Hoping that to gain …show more content…
You have to know the consequences that may happen in choosing such decisions. Like what Guy did he didn’t planned and take the advice of Balian to take his crusaders journey to near waters and this results to an weak army for they are easily defeated by Saladin. Balian is a man with self-affirmation he has his ways and strategies in defending his people. The most notable part in the film for me is when Balian turns the men in the city to become warriors by making them down upon their knees and rise as a knight because Balian believes that to become a brave and powerful knight is to “rise a knight”. And Balian defend the civilians along the city and fulfilling his promise to the king that when he is gone Balian should protect the villagers no matter what
