On reviewing the evidence on King Tutankhamun, it is clear that he died in a chariot accident while hunting. There are four pieces of evidence that have been outlined in order to prove that King Tutankhamun died in a hunting accident. Firstly, there are hunting weapons, chariot, and armor in the tomb.Secondly, there was a garland on Tutankhamun’s mummy that consisted of flowers that come into bloom in the months of March to April, shortly after the hunting season.Thirdly, Tutankhamun might have been attacked while hunting a hippo as there are broken ribs on his mummy. Lastly, Tutankhamun’s mummy has a clear fracture above the knee, which could have occurred in an accident on a speeding chariot. Therefore, this evidence shows and proves that …show more content…
“My second piece of evidence is that archaeologists uncovered a garland of flowers around Tutankhamun’s mummy that only come into bloom just after the winter hunting season, proving that he died during a time of significant hunting activity.”Therefore the complex mummification process last 70 days and 70 days before March would be from December to January. So this must indicate that Tutankhamun died during December to January months, which is coincidental to be in the winter hunting season. And as it is the winter hunting season Tutankhamun must have died while trying to kill a hippo.Thirdly, as on the evidence in the tomb of King Tutankhamun, there are two statuettes of King Tutankhamun holding a spear(Source K).On these statuettes, it looked like he was hunting a hippo(Source K). As well, on the treasure trove, there is writing encrypted in the trove of Tutankhamun fighting a hippo.Lastly, of the evidence there is an alternative death that could have happened of which he was in a speeding chariot. As of the evidence shown in the

The Iceman was a mummy, whose body remained preserved for 5,000 years in a glacier in the Alps. When he was found, his items from the Stone Age were laid around him. Mishap, Malady, or Murder? The Many Theories Behind the Death of King Tut Tutankhamun’s tomb is considered to be one of the greatest archeological finds of our time, but perhaps what makes King Tut even more appealing is the most widely debated mystery of the young pharaoh’s life-his death. The tomb of King Tut was discovered by Egyptologist Howard Carter and his financial backer Lord Carnarvon on November 4, 1922; on November 11, 1925, a team led by anatomist Douglas Derry and Howard Carter performed what was to be the first of several examinations on the body of King Tut. (Marchant, 2013). Carter and his team caused significant damage while removing Tut’s mummy from its coffin, but was it the only cause of the many cracks and fractures…

Tutankhamun’s breathtaking funerary mask is made of solid gold with decorations in carnelian, lapis lazuli, turquoise and glass paste. The composition of the piece is based on classical canons, while the slightly elongated oval of the face, the almond-shaped eyes set beneath arched brows, the slim graceful nose, and the mouth with its full, soft lips reveal the influence of innovation that fleetingly appeared in Egyptian art during the reign of Akhenaten.…

King Tut was a great ruler, he re-did all the things that his father had done so that the egyptian people would be happy again. Even though he was a great king, many people despised him as king. Some of those being his father Ay, and his protector and the egyptian army general, Horemheb. The reason that I think King Tutankhamun died by assassination is because usually if someone does not like a leader or how the leader does things they either try to assassinate them or try to make them not leader any more. For example, some people did not like Abe Lincoln and he was assassinated.…

However, the mound cannot be attributed to any one of the three tombs individually (Hatzopoulos 2008). Adams argues that Tomb III stands out from the other two and may hold the clue to the dating of the tumulus. Tomb III is well known to belong to Alexander IV. This is known due to the age of the skeleton and date of the grave goods, both clearly pointing towards the 13-16-year-old boy king that died at the end of the Fourth Century (Adams 1991). From several historical accounts it is known that Alexander was buried at Aegae, as were Philip II and III.…

Tutankhamun was born in 1346 BC. It is believed that Tut had a good beginning of his childhood, where he likely spent his time hunting, swimming, studying and playing board games. Due to the many walking canes discovered in his tomb many years after his time, people think that Tut must have been an ill, weak child. When Tutankhamun’s father, Akhenaten, passed away in 1334 BC, 7 year-old Tut had to step up and take his father’s place as pharaoh. He ruled over Ancient Egypt, a country located in North Africa, on the Mediterranean Sea.…
