Interpreting this makes me feel how most people wish it were today everywhere, not just in one country, city, or state. Theseus is really a hero in every sense of word. He was not hungry for power and authority. He was a protector of the defenseless. He did not want to rule over the Athenians but he wanted a people’s government where all would be equal. He only handled the office of that of Commander in Chief. He was strong physically, mentally, and emotionally not because of how his parents are ranked socially high and how they represent him, but it’s because his capability this leads his people. It is understandable how the Athens became the place it was and how Theseus was just a man as manifested with his victory and never did he return
