King Scar Research Paper

Born as a cub named Taka, Scar was the younger sibling of Mufasa. In his youth, Scar became jealous of his brother after discovering the lion's destiny and hatched a scheme to ruin his reputation. As a result, Taka deceived Mufasa, which led to an encounter with a Buffalo named Boma. Eventually this confrontation leads into a brief skirmish. Despite his best efforts, Mufasa managed to escape the buffalo's grasp, however; Scar was not so fortunate. During the struggle, Boma's herd assaults the young lion and slashes Scar across his face. After the Buffalo renders him unconscious, Taka's brother and their father; King Ahadi, rescue the prince. From that day forward, Taka renamed himself "Scar" as a reminder of his past mistakes. Due to his absence at the ceremony, Mufasa chastises the villain for his insolence. As the king continued to scold the fallen prince, he warns Scar not to turn his back on him, to which he replies: "perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me". After this encounter, Scar manipulates Simba with reverse psychology and attempts to have the cub murdered. However, the plan ultimately fails when Mufasa rescues the young prince. Once he discovers the fate of Simba, Scar enlists the aid of three hyenas and offers them an endless supply of food if they organize the death of his nephew and Mufasa. After Scar lures Simba into a trap, the trio manages to scare a large herd of Wildebeests, which consequently results in a stampede. As the prince began to fear for his life, Scar tells the king his son is trapped in a gorge surrounded by wildebeest.
