Both Lear and King James share some similarities and differences. One side was to prove it was a satire the other side was to prove that it was not a satire. King Lear and King James were very prideful men and believe that they had the right to do whatever they would like to do. On the other hand they had major differences throughout the play like for example, in Shakespeare 's play King Lear had three died daughter’s and King James had three surviving daughters.Lear and King James both asked their daughters the same question to their daughters. King James asked his daughters”Which of you three to me would prove most kind”. Lear asked his three daughters”Which of you shall we say doth love us most?”,this states that both Lear and King James test their daughters in the play. One of the major difference Lear and King James have is that King Lear loved his daughters and gave up everything for them. On the other side King James kept being prideful and still have his powers and did not care about anything. These two king 's actions were similar throughout their play. The are so many differences in their story one was the wording and how things end up to be and second on how one was more prideful than the other and lastly on how Shakespeare has a fool in the story.Throughout the differences and similarities there still major evidence for each side and can not state if it’s satire or
