King Kedorlaomer, the king of Elam, was once the ruler of Sodom and his people. For twelve years, the followers of Kedorlaomer were true to him. On the thirteen year the group of followers decided to rebell against their leader. The group consisted of the King Bera of Sodom, the King Birsha of Gomorrah, the King Shinab of Admah, the King Shemeber of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela. The king of Bela is also known as the Zoar. King Kedorlaomer’s group consisted of the King Amraphel of Babylonia, the King Arioch of Ellasar, the King Tidal of Goiim and himself. His group, a year after his followers rebelled, went out and fought the Rephaites, the Zuzites, the Emites and the Horites. After these victories the group went out and conquered the land of the Amalekites and they also conquered …show more content…
During the fight two Kings from the rebal group, Sodom and Gomorrah. Most of the men that fled were caught in the tar pits, but the surviving men made it into the mountains. Lot, who was a part of Sodom and also the nephew of Abram, was captured by the invaders of King Kedorlaomer. The invaders also took everything that belonged to him. One of Lots men who escaped, was able to portray the message to Abram. Once Abram received the message on what had happened, he then set out the 318 men who he has trained in his household. After Lot and the rest of the captives were rescued and his stuff was returned back to him, Melchizedek, the King of Salem, came to see Abram. Melchizedek was a priest who now blessed Abram and praised God for his protection of him and his nephew. In return, Abram gave the King of Salem a tenth of his belongings as a thank you. The King of Sodom asked Abram for his people back, and in return he could keep the belongs of his that were stolen.
