Once again, Beowulf does the unimaginable and he is given great treasures and rewards from King Hrothgar and he is esteemed the ultimate hero because of his relentless determination, selflessness, and courage to protect his people. The strong and mighty, King Arthur, shared many of the same characteristics, especially those of remarkable strength and unceasing leadership. King Arthur, the head of the kingdom Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table, creates an army of knights (Knights of the Round Table) to fight the Saxons and protect the people who could not fight for themselves. Similar to Beowulf, he puts himself in great danger for the well-being of his people and Camelot. Also, just as Beowulf earned his position as ruler of Denmark by doing the unimaginable (slaying two ferocious monsters), King Arthur also earns his position as king by doing what no other warrior could do, pulling the magical sword Excalibur out of the stone.
