By incorporating music into his films, he is able to change the mood from one scene to another with a different emotion. One example of Burton using music to change the mood is the scene of Edwards house in the beginning of the movie with Peg and Edward. He uses music and sound effects to change the setting of a cheery and happy neighborhood to the dark and gloomy castle on the top of the hill. Also, in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, there was the scene in the beginning of the movie showing Charlie Bucket’s house.
