To self-reflect on the kind of Occupational Therapy practitioner I aspire to become, I will begin the first stage of Gibbs’s reflective cycle, which is ‘description; in other words, how my own life experience will shape the kind of practitioner I one day aspire to become. After reflecting on the standard of care that I personally have received in the past and remembering back to what it actually felt like to be a patient. I will apply the remaining stages of Gibbs’ reflective cycle, where I will use my own feelings to evaluate, analyse and finally conclude what kind of practitioner I wish to become.
