Director Kimberly Peirce reimagines the classic story of Carrie, a highschool teenage girl who is tormented by the entire senior class. Given the excellenct casting of Carrie as well as her mother Margret, this movie delievers effects which the original wasn't able to support in it's time. Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass) portrays the role of Carrie White, giving us a satisying performance which by the time the movie is over, your happy that little vampire girl from 'Let me In' ended up landing the role . Julianne Moore stole the movie away with her performance as Margret White, giving me the chills as she showed us a more crazier evil side to the character, I personally thought Julianne was giving one of her best performances since 'Boogie Night's', A weird comparsion yes.

This movie had a solid score done by Marco Beltrami (Scream movies) giving us a thriller vibe for the movie, not making it feel it was true horror though. Making it less magical to the original to me. Along the amazing CGI scenes involing her telekenctic powers, it made good for that. Still this remake being as good as remakes come, lacked the magic of the original. I found myself satisfied at some points of the movie, as I thought Kimberly Pierce showed a more loving Margret, who tries showing more compassion for her daughter. The prom scene was done decent, the music was awful however, and I felt some of the scenes through out were not magical, suspenseful or even scary in the slightest. I dig how Kimberly Pierce visioned Stephen Kings novel more then the original with some elements. Where in the ending I did find myself smiling, especilly with the raining rocks added into this. All and all I really dig this remake, I find it had some good points, trying to seperate it's self from other films. All said and done this adaptation of Carrie was

While I loved many things about this movie, I must say that if you don't necessarily enjoy musicals, you definitely wouldn't like this movie. There were so many songs in this movie that they played almost every 5 minutes which I believed interfered with the story and made it seem less realistic because I have never seen a group of people singing and dancing outside my window. I think a few of the most catchy songs would have added a bit of fun to the movie but so many made it more of a…

Unit 7 Morgan, a peaceful explorer and newly employed young woman, was not expecting to have trouble at all that morning. In fact, it had been one of those mornings that seemed to point toward a fulfilling and bright day, and trouble seemed incongruous with the sun, birds, and cloudless sky. There was just nothing that Morgan could imagine that would ruin the promising start she was getting today. That day she had planned on hiking out in the mountains, seeking to have a quiet day to herself. She was excited to observe the nature and have a private picnic with no one else around her but simply the elements.…

At least it does so for me. Final thoughts, I really liked this film. The acting is solid across the board with Kevin Gage standing out. His portrayal of a violent man, who delights in violent deeds is incredibly sincere. Not that anyone one else is the cast was slacking, but Gage stands out in memory where others, such as Shannon Eubanks does not.…

This movie has forever marked its place on my top five football movies list. The actors and actresses did a great job of not just acting but becoming their characters and executing them perfectly. The producers, McG, Basil Iwanyk, Thomas Tull, Scott Mednick, Jeanne Allgood, and Brent O'Connor, did a great job because you could actually feel a sense of empathy for what the town went…

The novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury is often compared and contrasted with its 1967 film counterpart, written and directed by François Truffaut. The minor differences between the novel and the film contribute to the way that Bradbury’s message is received by the audience. The novel better conveys Bradbury’s message of the destruction of the individual than the film does because of the way that it portrays Clarisse, its inclusion of the Mechanical Hound, the relationship that it builds between the reader and the characters, and the inclusion of Faber’s character. Clarisse McClellan plays a far more important role in the film adaptation than she does in the novel.…

Thursday, October, 22, I was privileged with the opportunity to see the production La Muerte Bila, written in collaboration with the cast, and directed by Rebecca Marinez. The play was performed at the lovely Milargo Theater in Portland, Oregon. La Muerte Baila takes place in the afterlife, a place that is neither heaven nor hell. The standout performers in the play were Alejandro, played by Jonathan Hernandez, and La Muerte, played by Sofia May-Cuxim. La Muerte Baila is much different from most other plays due to the fact that it is performed bilingually.…

The director of the film was Karel Reisz. The role that Streep wanted so badly, but Jessica received, was the role of Patsy Cline, a legendary country singer. Even though Streep was dying to have this role, she still praised Lange on her performance. She said, “I couldn’t imagine doing it as well, or even coming close to what Jessica did because she was so amazing in it.” This shows the capacity of Lange’s capabilities because Streep is a hugely famous actress, and is complimenting Lange in one of the most flattering ways possible.…

Rupert Wainwright delivers an intriguing story about a town on an island in Oregon. With decent cinematgrhopy that's all the movie really had. The movie lacked good characters that didn't pull me in. These people actually got paid to act in this? CGI was poorly used for The Fog, it looked like a cloudy day off the coast of Oregon, unlike the original where the fog looked really awesome and a little scarier.…
